This morning I was up at 3:00 a.m. Yes, that’s right. Three o’clock in the morning. And, so far, I’m okay with it, and I have been very productive. Maybe dinner will end with my head in my plate.
My older daughter’s choir was selected to perform in the candlelight ceremony at Epcot Center in Disney World. Pretty cool. (They are terrific, I must say.) They had to be at school at 4:30 today to leave for the airport.
I decided it was pointless to come home afterwards and sleep for such a short amount of time before I had to get the other two out of bed, so I went to the gym. I’ve been going every day this week, and it seemed logical to get it out of the way.
I was among the first half-a-dozen cars in the parking lot, but at 4:56, I was greeted brightly by a uniformed young man behind the counter and allowed to enter the facility. By 5:15, the place was buzzing with activity and people of all ages and body types. I grabbed a treadmill and walked my way through the morning news, which I rarely watch.
Did you know that NJ is voting today on a bill that would abolish the death penalty here? I hope it passes. The rest of the news coverage was mainly about illegal drugs used by baseball players (big shock there) and the big storm we’re supposed to get this morning which might leave us with up to 2 whole inches. Big friggin’ deal.
The Belgian is still sleeping, so I thought I would seize the quiet opportunity to post a blog entry or two.
Now it’s almost 9:00, and I’ve been up for 6 hours.
Geesh.
